Sang pemimpi adalah novel kedua dari Tetralogi Laskar Pelangi karya Andrea Hirata. Dalam film, sang pemimpi merupakan sekuel dari Laskar Pelangi yang telah mencetak prestasi fenomenal. Dari segi kualitas film dibuktikan dengan meraih banyak penghargaan di dalam negeri maupun di tingkat Internasional sedangkan dari sisi jumlah penonton, Laskar Pelangi saat ini tercatat sebagai film terlaris di Indonesia sepanjang masa.
Tidak seperti tradisi di kebanyakan negara muslim dunia, tradisi di Indonesia lebih sedikit berbeda. Kalau di Mesir atau Arab Idul Adha atau hari raya kurban paling heboh dirayakan, tapi di Indonesia justru hari raya Idul Fitri yang dinanti-nanti. Di luar bulan Ramadhan, masjid paling ramai ketika masuk waktu maghrib. Sebaliknya ketika di bulan ramadhan, sholat magrib malah paling sepi. Yang paling rame didatangi orang justru adalah warung atau tempat makan. Tidak ada yang mau melewatkan buka puasa.
Setelah seharian penuh menahan lapar dan dahaga, segera setelah bedug magrib orang merayakan kemenangan dengan menyantap minuman seperti kolak, es buah, cendol terus diikuti dengan makanan lengkap seperti sate, soto, dll. Pokoknya yang enak-enak lah, kalaw kata pak Bondan mak nyuss !! Walhasil, anggaran ibu-ibu rumah tangga untuk menyiapkan menu buka puasa menjadi dua kali lipat dibandingkan hari-hari biasa.

For the 25th times, the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) was held. This time the grand event was held at Radio City Music Hall, New York City, Sunday (13/9/2009) local time.

The tragic loss of their unborn child has devastated Kate and John, taking a toll on both their marriage and Kate’s fragile psyche, as she is plagued by nightmares and haunted by demons from her past. Struggling to regain some semblance of normalcy in their lives, the couple decides to adopt another child. At the local orphanage, both John and Kate find themselves strangely drawn to a young girl named Esther. Almost as soon as they welcome Esther into their home, however, an alarming series of events begins to unfold, leading Kate to believe that there’s something wrong with Esther–this seemingly angelic little girl is not what she appears to be. Concerned for the safety of her family, Kate tries to get John and others to see past Esther’s sweet facade. But her warnings go unheeded until it may be too late…for everyone.
